Character Name: Cheryl Day
Archetype: The Private Eye
Gender: Female
Description: Cheryl has a somewhat petite physique, sizing up only to 5' 6". Her skin is light colored with little to no tanning. She has brown hair of moderate length with one side that curls outward and forward, with a teal hairpin, along with blue eyes.
Her messy clothes are generally colorless, if not bland. She usually wears two layers of clothes; the inside shirt usually complete white, with an unbuttoned gray coat. Her shorts are black marked by red stripes, and tightened with a brown belt. She also wear black running shoes, which doesn't quite fit with her overall attire.
Personality: Cheryl takes a more "realist", or really, cynical view of life. She can be difficult to befriend, as she may come out cold and condescending. She doesn't completely trust anything due to her skeptical manner; sometimes this escalates into paranoia.
This also associates with her asocial behavior - though it doesn't mean that she has no friends. Though she doesn't trust many people, as previously stated, around her neighborhood she was, ironically, their "friendly detective".
It is rather an unusual sight to see a female soon to be detective, but her love of crime solving and mystery had dragged her into this unofficial occupation of hers. She has a calculative and intellectual mind; though she is also manipulative in a way. She sometimes wants people to do things in what she perceived as the best way, and has a persuasive tounge that assisted her in this.
But she does have her weak side as well. Cheryl is seen as uncaring and unattached to other people, though it is the exact opposite; she is capable of feeling, though her lack of emotion seemingly disproves this, and sometimes mourns over loss for long amounts of time that it begins to affect her, typically in a negative way.
Her mind is supposedly stuck in the "old-fashioned" state. In her leisure time, she listens to ragtime and smooth jazz, collects records, and read classical books.
Skills: Cheryl is experienced in reasoning, problem solving, logic, and calculation. She has some skill in mechanics and trap-making, thanks to her resourcefulness.
Flaws: She is weak at athletics and is prone to starting up disagreements or arguments with others. Cheryl's paranoia often gets to best of her and will occasionally backstab or not cooperate.
The Audition Tape: "The tape recording is on, camera all set and ready to go. Lights coming on in three...two...one."
The lights flicker on, and the camera is at first blinded by light. Some blues play in the background, which seems to be a basement. Not much natural light can be seen, with the exception of a narrow window adjacent to the ceiling.
"Greetings, my fellow watchers," a cultivated voice, marked by a slight British accent, said. A girl appears, clad in a formal suit and tie wear, pulling out a swivel chair from a nearby wooden table, sitting down in it. She crosses her fingers against each other.
Calmly, she continues. "My name is Cheryl Day, the agent that sees all, and hears all. But today, I'm not going to be talking about one of my recent cases, but instead, about something completely different.
"Total Drama, today I am giving you a proposition. I have utter confidence that the money will be mine, and anything else shall be mere interference. I have researched and studied your ways.
"But I will promise you this; if you allow me into your little show, I will make things much more...interesting."
Cheryl stands up, then accidentally tripping on her camera stand, sending both the camera and her toppling onto the ground. A few seconds later, the film ends, presumably from Cheryl herself pressing the record button.
