Character Name: Sophie
Archetype: The Magpie
Gender: Female
Description: Sophie is a small girl with shoulder length red-brown hair and brown eyes. She tends to dress simply, usually in a dark t-shirt and jeans with well worn sneakers and a dark red jacket. She wears a necklace with several small trinkets on it, but they appear to have no coherence or real meaning.
Personality: The Magpie is a nervous sort who does not excel in unfamiliar situations. She has a rough time making friends and speaking with people. While she is reasonably friendly, she is no social butterfly, and tends to stay in the background.
She has an unexplained love of shiny objects, which she tends to steal and collect. If someone touches her hoard, she can be very vengeful.
Skills: She is good at moving without being noticed, and is quick. Also, due to her tendency to look out for objects of interest, she's very observant. Another skill she picked up from thievery of her shiny objects is a decent talent for lies and excuses.
Flaws: Though she is quick, she has very little endurance, and tires out quickly. Her love of shiny objects can be a weakness, as it often distracts her from the task at hand.
She is not very physically strong. Also? She has a crippling fear of birds.
The Audition Tape: A frowning face peers into the camera as it tries to focus, and brightens to a small smile when it finally does. The girl waves tentatively at the camera, her smile brightening.
"Hi. Um, I'm Sophie and I'd like to be on Total Drama Island because I, uh, think it would be fun. I've only ever watched part of one season, but they say you can win a million and that's awesome! And, uh, my parents say I need to -"
She cuts off as a puppy runs across her lap carrying a very shiny round object. Though Sophie struggles for a moment to resume her train of thought, all hope is lost when the camera falls over. The last thing seen is her diving off screen, one hand on the shiny thing. A small growl is heard, but it's not possible to tell if that was the dog, or the girl.
