Rewards for Artists?

Perhaps we could open up like a Tuck Shop for the site (Like in season one of Total Drama) and each Commission that artists do they earn points to spend there. Points could also be awarded via good behavior, winning OOC mini-contests, etc. In the shop you could sell items such as things to help contestants in game (Immunity idols, rope, other challenge advantages, etc.) as well as other things that might help a player OOC! Just an idea, though it seems like it could help!

I'm in favor of Moonbeam's suggestion, but Switt's is good too. I'm guessing the idol would take quite a lot of points, so I'm hoping these points can be awarded some way besides artistic talent and just once-in-a-while contests? Like, for those of us who are terrible artists. .-.

Right now I'm only focusing on rewards for artists. Things for other players might be discussed later, though.

Really, I do want some thing to be artist-exclusive to encourage them to actually produce things for the community. Playing a game to win points to buy things really isn't contributing in the same way that art is, so it makes no sense to have it have the same sort of rewards.

That seems awful small. I think artists could get like major points for their work on the site and other activities could be worth less and of course, items in the tuck shop should be higher up, as they provide advantages. We don't want random advantages floating around too often, so they should be worth a bit. Like, minimum, small advantages should probably be 7-10 points. An item as powerful as an idol should be worth 30-60, maybe more depending on how you price things. If an artist makes one picture for someone, that person should decide how many points they get based on how they feel the work of their character was done, with a minimum being say. . .10? And a maximum being somewhere between 30 and 60, if they did a really awesome job.

Joining the game mid seasons should be worth a good amount too, since it does give you the opportunity to play over others who can't or have been eliminated. And if you've already been eliminated, but you're a returnee, since you already had a chance, I feel it should cost even more points than if someone new randomly shows up. You did already have a chance, after all, so it should be worth more than someone who hasn't had a chance yet.

Small trivial games like hangman, riddles, etc etc would be worth 1-10 points, depending on difficulty, I think. Whether or not points are awarded for good posting in the RP would be entirely up to Chris and the admins, as they're over the RP and can be the major judges of it. Like, being a contestant, I might be biased to say I did a better job and want the points, so it's probably best that those points go only through Chris and others who are high up.

If you're looking for artist-based rewards, Chris, then I think a good way is just to offer them an exclusive amount of points that couldn't be gained through other means, like between 30 and 50. It should be up to whomever is getting the picture as to how many they think it's worth, though. Like if someone drew your character and you thought it was cool, but not awesome, would you really like the idea of awarding them 40+ points? I'd say 20-30 would be good for a decent drawing. If they do an absolutely amazing TD drawing of your character to you, 40-60 seems reasonable. And if it's. . .Not so great, 10-20. All the same, one person's 'not so great' could be another person's 'incredible' so it should be up to whomever the drawing is for, minimum being 10 and maximum being between say 30 and 60 or so?

Of course, this is just my opinion on things to keep too many advantages from floating through the game and to make artists' time more worthwhile.
