Character Name: Marina Lewis
Archetype: The Personal Trainer
Gender: Female
Description: Marina has an athletic build; her physique is very muscular and is built well standing at 6’0 tall and weighing in at 167 lbs. Marina also has dirty blonde hair that is more often than not thrown up into a ponytail, she believes having her face is better to keep your a-game. Marina is clearly a girl who will put functionality before fashion, but she does enjoy her spice of clothing now and then. Her skin is a tanned sunkissed color from all the time she is constantly spending whilst working out or playing sports outdoors. Her eyes are a deep brown color, almost a chocolate, ironic considering she’d never eat chocolate in a million years. Marina wears a dark red short sleeve shirt with an open black hoodie over it, she also chooses to wear a pair of black leggings with a red skirt over it and a pair of red converse. The overall look likens her similar to a red and black candy cane.
Personality: After being in the same room as Marina one can easily tell that she is too rash and impish for her own good. Not to mention the fact that Marina’s clear Superiority Complex and OCD shines through her like she is made of cellophane. She’s also extremely uptight and doesn't deal with rule breakers or nonsense lovers. Despite this, Marina is definitely someone you want on your side, she’ll go above and beyond the required, always striving for excellence. On the other hand, though, someone like Marina would be a horrid enemy to have, she’d never let you live it down always be there to harass or bully you by getting down on you for your weakness.
On the topic of bullying, Marina never has the intention of doing it, but her strong personality combined with her semi-insensitivity makes her one heck of a bully to those who need to grow thicker skin. This can go by her simply standing by while someone gets bullied thinking it makes them tougher, or, on occasion trying to help them improve by doing it herself (she doesn't realize it’s bullying though, she considers it “helpful improvement”.) As far as Marina’s decision making process goes, most of her choices will be in the favor of her body, she is a major fitness and health freak. Your body is a temple and she believes it should be treated that way, and anyone who abuses it is not someone she would like to associate herself with. Needless to say, Marina is here to win, and she’s not going to let anyone get in her way.
Skills: Marina’s extremely adept in multiple sports (though most specifically Volleyball), due to her upbringing and constant involvement in sports teams. Marina is also very physically fit, exercising extremely often to stay in shape. Every morning she gets up at the crack of dawn to do an intense Jump Roping work out of her own invention. Finally, Marina is an amazing team-player and always lends a helping hand to her team. Typically, she asserts a sense of dominance and authority over them though.
Flaws: Marina is absolutely horrendous at being creative, being raised with the mindset that you must color within the lines at all times. She also has a problem following the orders of someone else (unless they were in a position of authority), because she sees them as inferior to her, thus not deserving her adherence. Marina is impatient and not very good at being sensitive/compassionate/understanding (anything that relates to feelings pretty much). Finally, Marina is not at all able to bend the rules or break them, her moral code strictly forbidding it.
The Audition Tape: The camera opens up to the scene of a Gym, inside a girl is standing by a water cooler, she glistens with sweat and a towel hangs around her neck. She is seen conversing with some guy, the whole situation is quite obviously staged to make her look like a team player and all around sociable girl. She turns and notices the camera, “Oh hey, didn't see you there.” She laughs a fake chuckle, obviously having known the fact she was filming an audition. She starts walking through the gym and the camera follows her, it seems as if it were something out of a corny video that some place’s management would show their new employees in training for a new job.
“On this show, you need someone who will, well, frankly putting it, win. And I’m that girl.” She grins for the camera, then stops by a strategically placed shelf that is littered with awards, all of which don a single name, Marina. “Oh looky here! A portion," She adds emphasis to the word portion, allowing everyone to know she has a vast amount more, "Of my trophy collection!” She laughs once more, “No big deal, but seriously, I’m the girl you want on this show. I’m the one who’s gonna give you ratings.” She smiles slyly before nodding to the camera in a gesture for the cameraman to turn it off. He fumbles with it, thinking he had turned it off before setting it down.
Marina has a sudden change in demeanor, “NOW ALL OF YOU WIMPS DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY!” She screams at the ensemble of the gym patrons in her class who helped her film the video. Marina then looks over noticing the camera light is still on, her tanned skin goes slightly pale. “Oh fu-” The audition cuts to black, obviously cut short at the wrong potion due to bad editing.
