Character Name: Timothy
Archetype: The Puppet Master
Gender: Male
Description: Timothy originally comes across as a nerd, except for his height, which is on the tall side. He is average sized, has dirty blond hair that covers the top half of his eyes when it's down around his face, and has gray-green eyes. In addition, he wears glasses, adding onto the nerdy appearance. He also doesn't typically look very strong, which is why most others don't think of him as more than a typical nerd. He typically wears black or green shirts, blue jeans, and white shoes. His favorite black shirt to wear reads, "I don't need your attitude, I have one of my own." This is the only part about him that doesn't come off as the typical nerd.
Personality: Despite his appearance, Timothy doesn't at all roll over for people. He uses his brain to his extreme advantage, often correcting teachers and other adults, rather arrogantly most of the time. Timothy has gotten into trouble a few times, which surprises people who just met him, as Timothy doesn't at all look like he would be a person to cause trouble. However, despite all the trouble Timothy has been in, rarely does he get punished. He's very skilled with words and uses that, plus his intelligence, to weasel his way out of bad situations, manipulate others, and typically get what he wants. Timothy, however, will only do physical work if he finds it enjoyable, such as Soccer, his favorite sport, or if he knows he has to. This is why he'll participate in challenges. He's completely away that not doing so could result in his team voting him off, but Timothy came to win and won't let that happen under any circumstances. Also, Timothy has a horrid temper and respect issues, often having to literally bite his tongue, grind his teeth, and clench his fists to keep from arguing with authority figures. This also leads to a bit of an issue of being a sore loser, in which if Timothy does lose, he will likely storm off the island, clenching his jaw, and try not to threaten the lives of the people who voted him off. Timothy firmly believes in revenge and doing to others as they have done to you, which is why when he does something to provoke another, he tries to pin it off on someone else entirely or make it so it looks like a complete accident. Oddly, through all of that, Timothy can be nice and kind to others, but rarely does this side of him show during a competition where his motto is, "Anything to win," due to being extremely competitive. For this reason, he respects Heather above all other previous competitors. He hopes that she'll make an appearance on the show while he's competing so he has the chance to actually meet her, despite being someone who most likely wouldn't get along with her considering while he is strategic, he isn't a bully and isn't very fond of them either. Timothy can also be extremely talkative when he's in the mood or on the right subject.
Skills: Timothy is very capable of lying and manipulating. He has pulled off many, many tricks with his words and his intelligence combined and has no problem looking someone in the face and telling them a lie, often times getting away with it. Timothy, as mentioned before, also is good at getting revenge and can stand up for himself easily, despite his nerdy appearance. Aside from this, he is only partially capable of doing well in physical events, such as challenges. The main things he's good at are Soccer, Roller-Skating, Tennis, and Swimming. He can hold is breath for a very long time underwater. However, this is a fault as well, as he has issues swimming above water and moves much faster underwater, often resulting in being compared to a literal fish. Some basic outdoor skills include fishing and a good sense of adventure when wandering through the forest, but he's terrible at tracking, hunting, and sometimes his wandering gets him lost.
Flaws: I think I've mentioned some of his flaws before, but I'll go into greater detail here. Timothy's greatest flaw is his pride. Timothy often doesn't acknowledge the chance of others around him being as intelligent as himself and looks down on them because of it, especially if he dislikes them. This is why he is, "The Puppet Master," as he believes it's very easy to get all others to do whatever he says and likes to stay in control. He's not all that great at physical activities besides those listed above. His temper can sometimes cloud his better judgement and get him into serious trouble. Once in a while, Timothy has difficulty following the rules and will bend or break them, resulting in more trouble than it was worth. Sometimes he lies without needing to, just because he sees it as fun to test how much people will believe, which can have dangerous repercussions later on, of course. During competition, however, he views his main flaw as his compassion. Briefly noted on his personality, Timothy does care about others, but he hates letting that get in his way of winning, so to him, it's a true flaw to let a great competitor stay long just because you form a friendship with them. He's not all-powerfully intelligent either. Timothy gets things wrong, but tries his best to learn from them. Also, he hates being put on the spot. He can know the answer to something, but if you randomly call him out to answer it without him expecting it, he'll stutter and freeze up for a bit, which he definitely hates for others to see. Timothy, being seen as a typical nerd, can also be an easy target for bullies. He tries to outwit them, but he knows in a lot of physical fights, he'd lose, which is why he's nervous on the inside about it, whether or not Timothy will show it. Once in a while, Timothy will get overly talkative and say something he shouldn't, which causes a lot of trouble for him. In addition, he has two fears I forgot to mention earlier, those being heights and open spaces. Yes, there is a fear of open spaces. It's known as agoraphobia.
The Audition Tape: The camera screen flashes on to reveal a boy standing almost 6 feet tall with dirty blond hair, gray-green eyes, and glasses, sitting at a computer chair. The room around him is clearly a Computer Lab, as there are several stands and shelves with computers setting at typing-level. It has beige carpeting and blue walls and several other people are moving around in the background with computer screens flashing onto different web pages and games. He turns to face the camera with a smile and begins, "Hello, producers of Total Drama. My name is Timothy and I assume you're watching this because you want someone capable of winning. I would like to inform you that if you're looking for an idiot jock or clown for comedy purposes, you might as well turn this off now." Timothy pauses to roll his eyes at the thought, then continues with, "So, aside from that, my main goal is to win, not dance like a monkey to entertain your audience. I use my intelligence, I have a straight-A average by the way, to get whatever I want. I'm highly competitive and I'm certain I can win your show. Oh sure, there might be one or two other people there capable of beating me, but those are the people you target right away, after all, to ensure your own victory. You don't have to worry about me being nervous on camera either. Obviously, I'm sending you this, aren't I? Make of that what you will." He waves his hand to dismiss it. "I'm digressing. Anyway, back to your show. I don't know what else to say, to be quite honest. If you can't tell by now that I'd be perfect for your show, as I could clearly win, then you're a blind fool. No offense intended, of course." Timothy turns to his computer to begin typing something rapidly, then turns back, but is looking above the camera rather than at it. "Why haven't you turned it off?" "Um. . ." "You idiot, do you even know how?" "Yes, I press this button. I just want to be sure I've saved the video first." "Give the camera to me." Timothy reaches for the camera and picks it up, scowling now, and the scene spins around rapidly for a moment until he covers it with his hand. It goes black briefly, then the tape ends entirely, right after a few more angry comments from Timothy to whomever he had filming for him.
